Taxman

Scott had a deadline of March 31 to get all of our tax information to the accountant to ensure our taxes would be filed on time. Scott's mom was kind enough to come and take care of Ford last week so that I could help Scott.

Ford had so much fun with her here. They played in the dirt, basketball, rode in the wagon, ran around the yard and watched the train.

Grana cooked dinner for us and took care of Ford and we were able to get everything prepared and to the accountant! Thank you so much, Granna. We truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts!

Poppy Easter!

I'm sure we suggested it first, but since Ford went along with it, he gave his poppy (pacifier) to the Easter bunny. He reluctantly put his poppy in his Easter basket on Saturday night in the hopes that the Easter bunny would bring him presents. And he did!

Ford and his cute cousins, Lane and Mylee:Mamaw and Becky came by to visit and get a little lovin' from Ford:We had a short and sweet visit with my family for Easter. It's easy to get wrapped up in all the pastel colors and candy. Let us not forget the true meaning of Easter, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Savior!

Spring Break

This week was Metro schools spring break, so that meant that most of the playschools were closed also. I didn't have bible study on Wednesday and Ford didn't have school on Friday. So we planned some fun things this week so he could have some time playing with kids. Here is a look at our fun week!

Ford and I made St. Patrick's Day cookies on Monday. Look how happy he was about them:
On Wednesday, we went to Bowling Green to hang out with all the Cothrans and Uncle Chris and Aunt Leigh Ann. Check out Ford in Audrey's pink cowboy boots:

On Thursday, we went to Will's house:

On Friday we went to Dragon Park (note the mosaic dragon in the background) to play with Noelle:

This Week

This week has been pretty low-key for us. I have been away for the past two weekends, so it was nice to not have anything planned for this weekend.

We had a visit from Audrey and Granny on Tuesday. Mom thought Audrey might like to come and play with Ford, so they stayed all day and played.

Here is a similar picture of Ford and Audrey from about a year and a half ago:

Since we didn't have anything going on, I was able to watch most of the SEC tournament. Much to my dismay, Kentucky didn't win their game.

Here is a picture of the our house in the big snow last weekend:

That's about all I have for now. I hope you all have a nice week and Happy Easter!

C-A-T-S

For Valentine's Day, my sweet husband got us tickets to watch UK play basketball against Florida at Rupp Arena. Next to my engagement ring, it's probably my favorite gift I've ever gotten. I have been a Kentucky basketball fan for longer than I can remember.

I really could talk all day long about KY basketball. But, unless you are a fan yourself, you'd be bored to death reading about it. So, I'll just say it was a wonderful experience. Being surrounded by all 24,000+ fans, seeing the seniors presented with their jerseys, My Old Kentucky Home being sung before the game, winning the game!...it was a magical day for me. Thanks, Scott!

Now, as we head into the SEC tournament, there's just one thing left to say...."C-A-T-S, CATS, CATS, CATS! GOOOOOOOOO CATS!"
