Ford turned 18 months old on July 15th. The whole child development thing is really amazing to witness. He had a 10 or 15 word vocabulary a month ago. Then, the week before he turned 18 months, he just started talking. Now he mimics words we say and also has learned some animal sounds.
This morning Scott was saying numbers to Ford and asking him to repeat them. Scott said, "Say 'one'," and Ford said, "One (sort of),"then "say 'two'," "two," "say 'three'," "three." When Scott got to four, he said, "Say 'four'," and then Ford pointed to himself. So, he thinks when you count it's 1, 2, 3, FORD! Here are a few pictures taken this week. Ford had graham crackers and he gave them to Elmo. I looked over again and he was feeding them to Elmo.

1, 2, 3, Ford
He has also started insisting on feeding himself with a spoon. He does pretty well, but it can get really messy. He decided eating yogurt with a spoon wasn't going fast enough, so he picked up the yogurt and started drinking it.

That's the cutest, sweetest thing...one, two, three, Ford!! I can't wait to see him and his mama in person in only a couple of weeks (his daddy, too, of course!)!
